Twilight

Title:                 Twilight

Author:                Stephenie Meyer

Grade Level:       6-8

Genre:       Fantasy, Romance

Number of Stars:       Two Stars

Opinion:               Despite the buzz on this book, I was not particularly in love with it.  I found Meyer’s writing to be very drab and boring.  I gave this book two stars because I liked the plot, but I really didn’t enjoy the writing and the fact that Bella was very whiny and needy.  So, to make a long story short, I did not get bitten by the Twilight bug and personally I would not recommend it to other people.

Name:                  Meaghan

  1. I think that the Twilight Saga is a most certainly a must read. These romantic tell the tale of a girl called Bella who meets the vampire Edward when she moves to live with her dad. Things get awkward when Bella is torn between Edward and her best friend Jacob, who is a werewolf.
This series are very addictive and they make you want to keep reading. However, most people stop reading this series when they get to the dull part in New Moon. Keep reading because things get a lot better in Eclipse, and you need the information in New Moon to understand the rest of the series.
Overall, Twilight is a book that is guaranteed to thrill girls of any age.

  2. I’m glad that I found someone who agrees with me. Meaghan’s review is exactly how I feel about the book. I was severely disappointed by Twilight. I thought it was really dull and nothing special. It did not make me want to read the other books, so I didn’t. I was 13 when I read Twilight, so I was the targeted age group, and I thought it sounded interesting, but Meyer’s writing was dull and the way she depicted Bella really turned me away from the books. Bella is not the type of person I would call a heroine, and needs some serious self-esteem boosters.

  4. I found this an excellent series and i do not understand why any girl wouldnt love it unless you hate romance and action. This is definetly one of my favorite series and it was always hard for me to put down (i finished the series in two weeks). After reading the previous reviews you may feel negatively about this series, but atleast give it a try.Trust me, you will love it.
