Opinion:   After the accident that took her parents’ and sister’s lives, 16-year-old Ever can see people’s auras and read their thoughts. She even has conversations with the annoying ghost of her little sister, Riley. The stimulus she receives from the outside world is overpowering, and so she constantly tries to shut it out by wearing large hoodies and toting an iPod with earphones in everywhere. But everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste… Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head.  She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is.  Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

I just finished this book and I have to say, it was good but not fantastic.  Even though it is a quick and easy book, I would still recommend it to my friends.  This is basically a young adult romance novel with a supernatural twist. It had a little bit of humor in the book, but mostly, it was a tender novel.  I”ve heard people say, this is a Twilight knock-off, but I disagree.  I actually favor this couple over the couple in Twilight. The relationship with Ever and Damen, seemed on and off at times. Also, the ending could have been different- it’s as if the author rushed to finish the book.  If you are a Twilight nut, I wouldn’t recommend this book.
